On a sparkling February evening at the Texas Theatre, the 2026 Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce’s STAR Gala welcomed business leaders, public servants, and citizens to celebrate an extraordinary milestone: 95 years of enterprise and community.

Guests arrived at a lively Business Connection Reception. Chamber President Erin Brogoitti gave the opening remarks, and Scott Brown led the invocation, inviting the audience to reflect on Kilgore’s blessings and progress.

The program honored local officials, college leaders, veterans, and first responders, thanking them for their service and dedication. Chairman Blayne Cole reminisced on a year of challenges and triumphs, expressing appreciation for the community’s unwavering commitment to success. “This evening is about you, our members, partners, and supporters,” said Blayne.

Furthermore, Cole welcomed incoming Chairman Ubaldo Meraz, who shared his gratitude and vision for the Chamber’s next chapter. Meraz recognized Executive Director Lisa Morgan for her experience, perspective, and genuine heart for Kilgore. He also applauded Business Development Manager Char Hampton for her ongoing service to members. “Together, they have already begun evaluating programs and events to ensure alignment with our mission and to better serve our membership,” Meraz said.
Dinner and a trivia game in tandem made it an exciting evening. The trivia questions centered around the City of Stars.
The grand finale, the Stars awards honored distinguished citizens for their unparalleled work. And the winners were:
