EVERYONE NEEDS LOVE
By Dr. Michael Guido
Several years ago, stray kittens appeared in our garden. They were so cute that we immediately fell in love with them. Each morning when we would leave our home, the kittens would walk in front of us, stop and lay at our feet. They would not move until we petted them and talked to them. They weren’t hungry or thirsty/. They craved love. Their simple need mirrors our own. No matter what our wealth, status, or possessions, we all yearn for love. Cars, homes, and money can’t fill the heart’s deepest longing—only love can.
God’s love is boundless, unending, and available to everyone. Just as those kittens sought affection, we seek the love that only God provides. He sent His Son, Jesus, to demonstrate this love, sacrificing Himself to bring us into His embrace.
Like the kittens, we thrive on attention from our Creator. His love assures us that we are never alone, no matter what life’s circumstances. And because God’s love flows through us, we’re called to share it with others, reflecting His heart. Everyone needs love—neighbors, strangers, even those who seem unlovable. By loving others, we show we know God.
Today, feel God’s infinite love and extend it to those around you. His love is always there, ready to fill us and overflow to others.
Prayer:
Loving Father, thank You for Your endless love. Help us to receive it fully and share it generously, reflecting Your heart to everyone we meet. Amen.
Scripture for today:
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7-8
