Region 7 Education Service Center recently named 11 East Texas Master Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers in the East Texas region. The named teachers have led educational training supporting CTE in the region.

School districts submitted worthy nominees. Prerequisite for nominating these master teachers  included: student success with industry-based certifications, and students’ involvement in competitive CTE organizations.

Pine Tree ISD Caity Rutledge was nominated because she led 2 CTE Graphic Design Academy meetings, for area CTE graphic design teachers. But that is not all. Her online collaboration and one-on-one support with teachers from other districts is second to none.

In addition, Ms. Rutledge leads several student organizations and elective classes at Pine Tree High School. Moreover, she serves as the high school webmaster and social media manager.

Region 7 headquartered in Kilgore, Texas comprises of approximately 100 school districts.
